Last year, Nestlé Prepared Foods, a U.S. subsidiary of a Swiss company, announced plans to expand its 400-employee food processing plant in Jonesboro. Nestlé is investing about $20 million for the expansion that will equip the plant to produce Hot Pockets sandwiches, in addition to the Stouffer's and Lean Cuisine frozen prepared meal lines, which have been made in Jonesboro since the facility opened in 2003. The expansion is expected to create about 65 new jobs. Nestlé USA, which includes Nestlé Brands Co., Nestlé Prepared Foods Co., Buitoni North America and Nestlé Purina PetCare Co., has annual sales of $8.1 billion.
