Strategy and Development Internship

The Organization for International Investment (OFII) is a Washington, D.C. based business association representing the interests of U.S. subsidiaries of companies based abroad. OFII’s activities focus on a range of issues particular to U.S. subsidiaries in the areas of federal and state tax reform, government contracting, CFIUS and cross-border acquisitions. OFII also develops communication strategies to benefit subsidiaries, holds frequent conferences for senior executives, and works closely with Congressional, Administration, and corporate allies to ensure fair treatment for subsidiaries.

This position is intended to provide valuable work experience and an understanding of U.S. trade policy, investment, and taxation to college junior, seniors or recent graduates with demonstrated interest in political science, foreign or public policy, economics, or communications.

This position supports the strategy and development team with all strategic business development campaigns for OFII, specifically focused on member relations and business development with high-level executives. This intern will also support the implementation of advanced-level executive conferences and other meetings and events through program development, task management, and participant recruitment. Daily tasks include assisting with research on prospective member companies, assisting with database management via Salesforce.com, and providing administrative support for upcoming events and conferences.

Candidates should be willing to assume some administrative responsibilities such as answering phones, in addition to special projects.

Availability and Compensation
Requirements

Must be a college junior, senior, graduate student, or recent graduate with demonstrated interest in marketing, political science, foreign or public policy, economics or communications. Excellent research and writing skills, and experience with Microsoft Office products required. Prior DC-based intern experience preferred. Association management software and programming skills a plus.
