represents almost 11% of American manufacturing jobs.
Last year, Dongbu Insurance
Co. Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of the second
largest insurer in South Korea, entered the U.S. market
with operations in Waikiki. The company will serve Hawaii
residents under the Hawaii port of entry law. "We
hope to contribute to Hawaii's development through our
'Change & Challenge' management values, and to have
a positive impact in the local economy by creating new
job positions,'' Kim Soon-hwan, president and CEO of
Dongbu Insurance.
