Ms. Coates directs OFII's suite of conferences and meetings, provides full-charge bookkeeping as well as all HR functions and general office administration.

Prior to joining OFII, Ms Coates was Business Operations Manager for Hunam Inn Inc, a restaurant group in Washington, D.C. At Hunam Inn, Ms. Coates managed business operations, financial planning, trending analysis and cash management.

From 1992 through 1995, Ms. Coates served as Branch Administrator for Long & Foster Realtors in Washington, DC, where she was responsible for database management, hiring and training of administrative staff, and conducting in-house training classes on various computer software packages for sales agents and their assistants. Ms. Coates also spent several years with Blue Cross Blue Shield of the National Capital Area in Washington DC as a claims adjustor and training instructor.

Ms. Coates is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland, University College in pursuit of a Master's of Science degree in Project Management. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Strayer University. Ms. Coates is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Professional Member: Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA)
