Nebraskans.

significant. They provide the livelihood for 2.4%
of Nebraska’s private-sector workforce.

tend to have a strong “multiplier” effect on the economy—stimulating
a substantial amount of activity and jobs in other
sectors through their demand for inputs from other
suppliers.

Bosch Security Systems,
a U.S. subsidiary of German manufacturing giant Robert
Bosch, announced plans in 2007 to consolidate all of
its North American repair work to one site in Lincoln,
Nebraska. The $8 million expansion of this site will
create 60 jobs by the end of 2008, when construction
has finished and the gradual migration of all Boschs
services to the Lincoln site has been completed.
